Experience tells us that people's care needs very often change. We therefore review from time to time to ensure you are receiving the correct care. As well as carrying out reviews on a regular basis we speak to and are happy to hear from members of the immediate family on how we are delivering the care service for their relative.
The Care Plan details exactly which services have been requested by you and your medial / social services representative, becomes the work list for each day. Care plans frequently evolve and we check regularly to ensure that the care we are providing is appropriate.
Once we have established exactly what you want on each visit, we will work to that list. Any additional work will need to be cleared and assessed to ensure we can carry it out safely. Certain work may require additional training for our staff.
This depends on how many care visits you have each week. We very rarely have just one care worker assigned to a particular service user. This allows for periods of time where your care worker may be away on holiday or having a day off, however we do try to keep the number of your care workers to an absolute minimum. In all cases you will be introduced to any new staff by our Care Manager prior to them assisting you.
Every member of our staff has been through a rigorous vetting procedure before they start working with us. In addition they all hold valid DBS Clearance, all staff will always be in uniform or carry a HLC Company identification card which shows their name, photograph and a contact number for our office.
We use a state of the art communications system that informs the office of the arrival and departure times of our staff. It also allows us to inform service users of any delays that may affect their scheduled appointment. this ensures peace of mind for the service user and assists in the safety of our care staff.
There are a number of payment methods, our preference is standing order or secure card payment.
Your care plan will show all scheduled visits and related costs. All costs will be agreed in advance so that there is no surprises or hidden costs. Depending on your circumstances there may be help from the local authority or even grants from government. Ask a member of our  management about direct payment and care assessments. Also check out our finance pages on how to protect your assets.
Our offices are normally open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours you will be provided with a Emergence out of hours number that is manned 24/7.
